ATTRIBUTES OF LOVE

LOVING THE LORD OR ATTRIBUTES OF LOVE
1)      Love cannot be taught. It can only be caught. Thus loving is not a mechanical action. It is spontaneous and emotional without reasoning and logic. Love is invisible to the intellect but troubles the heart and the soul.
2)       Love is a submission and surrender of the self. That is why it is called “falling” in love and not “rising” in love.
3)      Love is the gift of the beloved and cannot be attributed to any act or effort of the lover.  It is the pull of the beloved that stimulates love—which is inherent attribute of the soul and the Lord.
4)      Love brings change in all.
5)      Love terminates the chain of reaction and thus puts an end to karmic cycle.
6)      Just as fire is hot and ice is cold by nature, Lord’s nature is love. Love and loving pleases the Lord.
7)      The more you love the less you feel you love because Divine Love is infinite and therefore value and volume of love is always felt short for the Beloved.
8)      It’s easy to love a perfect God, unblemished and infallible that He is. What is far more difficult is to love fellow human beings with all their imperfections and defects. Remember, one can only know what one is capable of loving. There is no wisdom without love. Unless we learn to love God’s creation, we can neither truly love nor truly know God.
9)      Where there is love, there is bound to be heartache.”

10)   Time gets compressed in love. Space becomes non-existence. One forgets the time and space in love. Since God is infinite love, concept of time and space is irrelevant. FOR EXAMLE IN A MOVIE—One loses sense of time and space.
11)   Loving Din and Duniya are agnostic.  One has to choose between the two.
12)   In the realm of I and You –love is not feasible. The sentence “I love you” is fundamentally incorrect in the context of love.
13)   Love enables living in His Raza, Bhana or His will. “You love so that you may learn to live”—Mirdad. Learn to live means living in His will.
14)   Love is loving intoxication—Deevanapan . For example—I can see my beloved in the Moon or the beloved is in the Moon and is seeing me. Another example-- Putting the hut on fire to see the beloved Master.
15)   Love and loving is an ocean—in that ocean the lover has to end his existence instead of seeking seashore or Kinaara.
16)   Love ensures remembrance of Lord at the last moment of life—which is critical for redemption of the soul.
