बिस्मिल्लाह, अब आ जयो वतनों को। बड़ा वक्त ले लिया, बड़ा तरसा लिया ॥

नहीं भाई मुरशिद कुछ नहीं करता, वोह कोई कमाल नहीं दिखाता॥  वोह तो बस मुरीद के अंदर प्यार पैदा करता है, प्यास बड़ाता है कि मुरीद कुल के पानी के तरफ बड़ सके॥  अपने आप की पहचान कर सके, दुई का किनारा छोड़ दे और वहदत के दरिया में छलांग लगा के अपनी प्यास भूजा ले॥  और यह छलांग उस वक्त लगायी जाती है जब आप के अंदर खौफ के मुकाबले में प्यास ज़्यादा हो॥  प्यास ने आप को तड़पा दिया हो और आप पानी पानी पुकार रहे हो ॥

Teacher और Guru में बहुत फरक है, उस्ताद और मुरशिद में बहुत फासला है। उस्ताद पड़ाता है सिखाता है, बताता है, उसके पास सिखाने लिखाने के लिए बहुत कुछ होता है॥ लेकिन मुरशिद के पास सिखाने वाली कोई चीज ही नहीं होती ॥ ओह बाबा रूहनीयत सिखायी नहीं जा सकती,पड़ायी नहीं जा सकती, इख्तियार की जाती है ॥ इसी तरह तालिब-ए इल्म बातिन का सफर इख्तियार नहीं करना चाहता, बस उसका इल्म हासिल करना चाहता है॥ मोची बनना नहीं चाहता, shoemaking का इल्म हासिल करना चाहता है, सिर्फ इल्म॥ वही तो बता रहा हूँ मेरा  सोहना कि तालिब-ए-इल्म तबदीली का खाविशमंद नहीं होता, सिर्फ इल्म का खाविशमंद होता है॥ और  चेला पूछता है कि मैं बदल कैसे सकता हूँ--- हस्ती कैसे बन सकता हूँ, जोहर में कैसे उतर सकता हूँ ॥

 

ज़िंदगी कोई मसला नहीं कि स्लेटी पेंसिल  की तरह उसका हल डूँडने निकल जयो ॥ ज़िंदगी तो बस ज़िंदगी है यह तो बसर की जाती है

INTERPRETIVE NARRATIVE 

STUDENT VS A SHISHYA OR DISCIPLE 

TALB-E-ILM VS MURID 

What is the difference between a student and a disciple (shishya)? A student studies from a teacher and a disciple from His Guru or Master. The former seeks comfort from the Creation, where everything is believed to be in commotion while latter is desirous of union with the Creator where all is said to be at peace. Amongst many others, these represent visible dissimilarities.

Professor(s) provide multi-disciplinary instructions in science, economics, history etc., while a Mystic Master only invokes simmering yearning of merger of Self in ocean of Oneness.   A scholar acquires employment, status, wealth to “make life”. A “shisya” harbours no societal elevation nor does he pray for perishable possessions to limit the limitlessness of Divine grace. A scholar feels wiser with educative experience; a seeker strives for Reality and not wisdom.  

External change in a student can be inferred as he grows “tall in stature”, while a disciple is slowly transformed internally and invisibly. A pupil pursues Life through logic of “winning” and “losing” where “Profit” is happiness and “loss” a misery.  A seeker concludes that Life cannot be goggled or resolved through mathematical equation — yet a mystery to be lived through.  

Teacher(s) educate through laboratories and educational aids. Spirituality cannot be taught but initiated through Grace of Master who secretly sows seed of “Celestial Word” in “shishyas” heart and nourishes it in His inscrutable ways for generating Love with the Lord. This creates “Karmic connectivity” of Shishya with “Word or Omni will’ for “Eternal Union” with Lord. For the Law is-- you go where the “Will’ is.
